A very unexpected tale of Christmas eve as we see another side of Nick that isn't very saintly. In this movie, an elite team of mercenaries break into a family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone hostage. They are taken aback by a surprise combatant as Santa Claus shows up to save the day.

We love a good Christmas special, especially when we get to see our favourite superhero characters during the holidays, and it's all the excuse you need to dive deep into the MCU. In this holiday special, Star-Lord misses Christmas, so Drax and Mantis set off to find an unforgettable Christmas present which may involve kidnapping Kevin Bacon. The holiday special premiers December 25th on Disney+.

A Christmas movie list is never complete without at least one retelling of Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol, except this time, it stars a dynamic comedic duo we never knew we needed. Ryan Renolds and Will Ferrell star in Spirited, a retelling that takes place from the ghost's perspective. Every year a miserable soul gets some spiritual guidance, but when Will Ferrell, as the ghost of Christmas present, receives a social media influencer Clint Briggs as his choice for the year, it seems more than he can handle.

This is a little different from what we're used to, but we're here for it. This documentary captures the spirit of Christmas in all its diversity as it takes us through the annual gathering of wannabe Santa as they welcome their first diverse groups of Santas and Mrs Clauses. It's heartwarming and steps outside the rigid box that has been the norm with a heart-bursting ending that will make you shed some tears.

Hallmark is the owner of Christmas at this point because they produce the best Christmas movies, and this isn't any different. This movie is the Hallmark version of an Avengers movie, as it stars three of our favourite Hallmark leading men; Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes, and Paul Campbell. The film follows their adventures as they try to take care of a baby over the holidays, and yes, there are a lot of dad jokes involved.

A very Christmas take on the city girl in the suburbs trope but with a make-a-wish twist. Pop star Angelina makes a fan's wish come true with a Christmas visit and gets snowed in by a winter storm, having her stay longer than expected with her young fan and her single father. A snowstorm romance erupts between the pop star and the father as Angelina rediscovers her Christmas spirit.

This Lifetime original movie stars The Walking Dead’s Emily Kinney as an event planner tasked with putting on an extravagant Christmas gala for a businessman. In her search for the perfect Santa Claus, she attends a Santa Bootcamp where she meets an instructor who teaches her to love Christmas again. The icing on the cake is her falling for the businessman.
Those are ten of the best Christmas movies coming out this year, sure to get you in the Christmas spirit. So get out your hot chocolate and some lovely cookies and cuddle up in front of the TV for a binge-fest this holiday season. I don't know about you, but I'd be getting in the Christmas spirit with these movies.
